Applying abroad means competing under rules nobody explains. What goes on a German Lebenslauf, whether a Dutch employer expects a photo, which companies can actually sponsor you. LumiCV puts those answers in the product instead of in a blog post.

Our Mission

Make a foreign job market legible

A local applicant already knows the conventions. They know how long a CV should be, what to leave off, and which employers sponsor. Someone applying from another country is guessing at all three - and a good candidate gets filtered out for formatting, not ability.

So LumiCV works the way a cross-border application actually works: find roles from employers who can sponsor, format the CV the way that market expects, tailor it to the posting, and autofill the ATS. One loop, not four separate tools.

We would rather be the best tool for one hard job - applying to a country you don't live in - than an average tool for every job search.

A note from the founder

Why I built LumiCV

A few years ago I was a software engineer applying for jobs. I had the experience, the skills, and the projects - and I was getting nowhere. Recruiters weren't even seeing my resume. An ATS was filtering me out before a human ever opened the file.

I learned the system the hard way: keyword density, file format quirks, columns that parsers can't read, summaries that say nothing. Once I figured it out, I started landing interviews. But I kept thinking about the people who shouldn't have to figure all of this out just to be considered.

LumiCV is the tool I wish I'd had then - and over time it grew beyond just resume tailoring. Today it covers the full job search: paste a job description and LumiCV tailors your resume, flags the skill gaps between your experience and the role, prepares you for the specific interview that follows, and tracks every application from apply to offer in one place. We don't sell your data, we don't train AI on your resume, and we don't make you feel bad about a 7-day free trial.
