Europass CV · CEFR grid · Often requested by EU institutions & programmes
The EU institutional CV format with CEFR language grid. Use this when a posting specifically asks for Europass — for private-sector EU roles, Classic or Minimal usually performs better.
Europass is the EU's own CV format, often requested by EU institutions and EU-funded programmes. Use it when a job posting or application explicitly asks for a Europass CV — for example at EU institutions and agencies, for Erasmus applications, or in Horizon Europe / EU-funded research consortia. The template includes the CEFR self-assessment grid (A1–C2 across Listening, Reading, Spoken Interaction, Spoken Production, and Writing) that the Europass format uses for languages. Important: for most EU private-sector hiring (tech, finance, startups, consulting across NL, DE, FR, IE, Nordics), recruiters prefer a clean reverse-chronological resume — try our Classic or Minimal template instead. Use the country-specific templates (Germany, France, Nordic) when applying within those markets.
