Lebenslauf · Tabular layout · Photo optional
The tabular Lebenslauf layout common in Germany - dates on the left, with a photo slot and an optional Geburtsdatum line.
The Germany template follows the tabular Lebenslauf format common across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It uses a date-left / content-right layout, a photo slot in the top-right corner, and an optional Geburtsdatum line in the personal details. A photo and date of birth are still common on German CVs but no longer required, and international employers generally do not expect either - leave them off if you prefer. If you are applying to roles in Germany - especially at Mittelstand firms, Chemie, engineering, or banking - the Lebenslauf layout is the one German recruiters will recognise.
