LMIA-Supported Roles jobs in Canada
Live employer listings, country-specific CV tailoring, and ATS-keyword scoring for LMIA-sponsoring roles.
About the LMIA-Supported Roles
A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is the prerequisite document that allows a Canadian employer to hire a foreign worker. The employer demonstrates that no Canadian / PR candidate was available, and pays a CAD 1,000 LMIA fee per position. Once issued, the foreign worker applies for a work permit using the positive LMIA.
The public LMIA Employers List (open.canada.ca) contains ~22,945 deduplicated approved sponsors across 2019Q3–2020Q3 — the most recent ESDC publication. This pathway dominates Canadian agricultural, hospitality, and warehouse work-permit volumes; tech roles increasingly route via the faster Global Talent Stream instead. LMIA processing is 1–4 months unless GTS-categorised.
CV tip for LMIA applicants
For LMIA-supported applications: confirm the employer's LMIA-issuance history if possible — first-time LMIA sponsors face longer processing.
Salary thresholds and visa rules above reflect publicly available figures as of 2026 and may change. Always confirm with the official authority — www.canada.ca — before applying or making relocation decisions.
What LumiCV is: CV-tailoring and application-tracking software you run yourself. We surface publicly listed LMIA-friendly roles, score them against your CV and help your application land — you choose the jobs and you apply. We are not a recruiter, staffing agency or immigration consultancy, and we do not contact employers or sponsor visas.
Other Canada visa pathways
State Express Entry profile status in the header if applicable: "Express Entry candidate — CRS 480, FSW-eligible". This often pre-empts visa-status discussions.
For GTS applicants: position relocation timeline aggressively — "available to start within 30 days, GTS-eligible role". 2-week processing is a real advantage.
